ISAP Lite Mobile Application

Overview

The ISAP Lite mobile application was developed to provide IBM Sales teams with a streamlined, on-the-go tool to demonstrate customer growth and the value of their investments. The app serves finance professionals, geo/brand focal points, and executives by offering a simplified version of the ISAP website optimized for mobile devices.

Business Goals

The primary business goal was to create a mobile front end that enables IBM Sales teams to efficiently present critical financial data and strategic insights to customers, enhancing their professional delivery and engagement. By consolidating Digital Sales financials and automating key processes, the app aimed to improve the overall user experience and operational efficiency.

Launch Strategies

Following an Agile development model, the project emphasized iterative development and frequent demonstrations to stakeholders. Key strategies included:

  • Concept & Design: Prioritized user stories, designed mockups, and staffed the development team early to ensure a focused and cohesive design process.
  • Frequent Demos: Provided regular updates and demos to the application owner team to align with business expectations and gather continuous feedback.
  • Pre-Production Launch: Conducted a pilot with selected users to refine the app before the official launch.
  • Dedicated Communication: Utilized ZenHub for centralized communication, reducing the need for multiple documents and meetings, and maintaining clear and consistent progress updates.
Results

The ISAP Lite mobile application successfully launched within the planned six-month timeline. The app's key features included a responsive UI, seamless login experience, and intuitive navigation for viewing client goals, initiatives, and relationships. By directly feeding data from the production database, the app provided real-time insights without compromising data security.

Despite initial challenges with data sources and server setups, the collaborative effort between the DBG and client teams ensured a high-quality product that met business needs. The pilot launch received positive feedback, particularly for its ease of use and the professional delivery of information, reinforcing IBM's commitment to delivering high-value digital solutions through agile methodologies.
